Sandy Spence

My Mom taught me how to sew over 30 years ago. My first job, while still in high school, was as a seamstress for a local ballet company. I went on to get a BFA in theatre, and have worked in numerous professional costume shops over the years.

My design experience includes spending 8 years as a Fashion Designer in both Seattle and New York City---working for Nordstrom, Lord & Taylor and Mavi Jeans.  I also did freelance work for Marc by Marc Jacobs, Victoria’s Secret Pink and Converse One Star.

After working in Fashion I earned my Master’s degree in Costume Design and worked for three and a half years as a Professor before moving to Maryland.

I started in bridal by working as a seamstress for 2 years at Love It at Stella’s Bridal before deciding to open my own alterations studio in Westminster, Maryland.

I look forward to working with you!
